    ​Flu season starts in October, peaks between December and February, and can run through May. The best way to reduce the chances that you will get seasonal flu and spread it to others is to get a seasonal flu vaccine. When more people get vaccinated against the flu, less flu can spread.

    It is easier than ever for you and your family members covered under the medical plan to get a flu shot vaccine. 


    Here’s how:

    • Visit any CVS network pharmacy for a flu shot

    • Choose from more than 58,000 convenient locations, including CVS/pharmacy®*

    • Call ahead for availability and to make an appointment (if available)

    • Bring your medical card with prescription information located on it and valid photo ID


    As a reminder, the flu shot is covered under the wellness benefit of the medical plan at your physician’s office.
