• Sideline Your Stress

    April 15, 2019

Everyone gets stressed from time to time, even teens and children. But too much stress can cause your day-to-day life to feel overwhelming.

It is important to keep your home stress-free not only for you, but for your family. Understanding how to manage your stress is the key:

    • Take care of yourself. This means eating healthy, well-balanced meals. Working out on a regular basis. And getting plenty of sleep.

    • Give yourself a break if you feel stressed out.

    • Talk to others and share how you are feeling.

    • Avoid drugs and alcohol.

    • Take a break from the news if it is causing you stress.

Sometimes it's hard to avoid stress. Being aware can help you counteract the effects. However, recognize when you need additional help. If your stress continues or worsens, talk to your doctor about ways to manage your feelings.

Stress can prevent you from taking the best care of yourself or your family. Put stress into perspective by utilizing healthy coping tips. Sideline your stress and enjoy the game of life!
