If you are a first time Health Savings Account (HSA) owner in 2018,
you may receive a letter from PayFlex requesting verification of some
personal information. This letter, on PayFlex letterhead, is legitimate
and completes the process of validating your identity in order to open
an HSA in your name. Some of the information requested include your
name, social security number, date of birth and address.
You will receive an email telling you that you need to register your HSA.
you receive your debit card from PayFlex, you should register your HSA
account. To register, you will need to provide your last name, mailing
address, zip code, last 4 characters of your Social Security Number (no
hyphens), date of birth, and last eight digits of your PayFlex card
You will need to make sure you have sufficient funds in your account in order to be reimbursed or pay for an expense.
