Wisconsin Network

Changes have been announced related to the 2018 Farm Credit Foundations Medical Plan Design and features that impact all participants. In addition, the current BlueCard Network for residents in the state of Wisconsin will be replaced with the Wisconsin Blue Preferred POS network. This change will have minimal impact to participants as there is a 99% provider match to the current network. This change will result in $1 million dollars annual savings to the plan due to better Blue Cross Blue Shield discounted pricing.

Individuals who have their mailing address in the state of Wisconsin will receive a new card with the network name on it. Wisconsin participants who travel outside of the state will still have access to BlueCard Network providers. Individuals traveling to Wisconsin will also be covered under the BlueCard Network. To receive the highest level of benefits it will be important that Wisconsin residents use the Wisconsin Blue Preferred POS network. Other providers would be subject to the out of network benefits.

Impacted individuals will be notified with a direct mailing from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) to their home in August and will have access to search the new provider network prior to annual enrollment.
